How to Make Planner Dividers

So today’s post is how to make your own Dividers for your planner or binder. The list of things needed, you might already have at home, and if not you could pick them up for a very low cost. But of course you can always go the higher end of things, so I’ll list both for you to pick from.

Things you’ll need
  • Folders, Card-stock, an old Gift Bag, or a Printed image… you can make dividers out of anything really. (Check out Target's Dollar Spot, and Dollar Tree for Cheap Cute Folders)
  • Scissors or Paper Cutter
  • Pencil/Pen
  • Ruler
  • Hole Punch
  • Sticky Tabs (optional)
  • Laminator (optional)
  • Corner Round Punch (optional)

  1. Measure your planner inserts, using the ruler and pen mark where you need to cut, that’s how you’ll know what size to make your dividers. But If you already have dividers, quick tip… just hold them together and cut around your divider
  2. Hole Punch and you’re done
  3. (optional) use sticky tabs to label your sections
  4. (optional) Laminating will make your divider last longer, and you can safely use sticky notes on them
  5. (optional) I find using a corner round punch gives it a nice finished look
